On Friday, December 20, 2024, the prestigious Wesley College of Education took a significant step forward in its mission to enhance education and community engagement with a sod-cutting ceremony to launch the construction of a modern 2,000-capacity multi-purpose auditorium.
The event, held on the college’s campus, was graced by the Council Chair, Most Rev. Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo, Immediate Past Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana. It will host key activities such as student orientations, matriculation ceremonies, congregations, and public events, underscoring the college’s commitment to serving as a beacon of excellence in education and spiritual growth.
Addressing the gathering, Most Rev. Dr. Boafo highlighted the project’s importance, describing it as a “milestone in the college’s journey of transformation.” He commended the stakeholders for their vision and dedication, urging all involved to ensure the project’s timely completion.
Principal Mr. Kennedy Ameyaw Baah emphasized the transformative impact the facility will have, stating, “This auditorium will not only enhance the academic and social experience of our students but also position Wesley College as a leading institution of Christian education and innovation in Ghana.”
