AACC 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary Election Observers Visit Presbyterian Church of Ghana Moderator
A delegation from the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) Election Observation Team paid a courtesy call on the Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, at the Head Office in Accra. The visit was part of the AACC’s efforts to observe the general elections in Ghana.
During the meeting, the AACC delegation and the Moderator discussed the importance of free, fair, and peaceful elections in Ghana. They also emphasized the role of religious leaders in promoting peace and stability during the electoral process.
The team was led by the Rt. Rev. Lydia C. Neshangwe of the Uniting Presbyterian Church in South Africa (UPCSA), who is also the Moderator of the Council for World Mission (CWM) and Rev. Dr. Fidon Mwombeki, the General Secretary of AACC.
The Moderator made a presentation to the team. The donation was received with gratitude. The visit was a positive step in strengthening the relationship between the AACC and the PCG. It also highlighted the importance of collaboration between religious leaders and civil society organizations in promoting democracy and good governance in Africa.
