Bishop Emmanuel Botwey, Presiding and General Overseer of the Christian Faith Church Worldwide, marked his 70th anniversary in a heartfelt celebration that highlighted his impactful life and ministry.
Apostle Eric Nyamekye, Chairman of The Church of Pentecost and guest preacher at the event, encouraged Christians to embrace modesty and appreciate gradual progress in their journey. He emphasized that God values small achievements and urged believers to avoid undue stress from worldly pursuits.
“Anxiety, anger, and holding onto pains and wrongs contribute significantly to premature deaths in the body of Christ,” Apostle Nyamekye noted.
He revealed that only 8% of the global population lives beyond age 65 and encouraged believers to trust God amidst life’s challenges, while also prioritizing proper healthcare and self-care.
Reflecting on the life of Bishop Botwey, Apostle Nyamekye praised his unwavering faith and dedication, acknowledging God’s providence and blessings throughout his seven-decade journey.
Western Regional Minister, Mr. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, also lauded Bishop Botwey’s immense contributions to regional peace and development. As Chairman of the Regional Peace Council, Bishop Botwey has played a key role in resolving chieftaincy disputes and fostering unity in the Western Region.
Mr. Darko-Mensah commended the Bishop’s humility and resilience, urging the youth to draw inspiration from his exemplary life.
In his address, Bishop Botwey expressed profound gratitude to God for guiding him through life’s trials and triumphs. “I thank God for helping me through the changing scenes of life and bringing me this far,” he said. He also acknowledged the support of individuals who have contributed to his journey and the growth of the Christian Faith Church.
Looking ahead with hope and faith, Bishop Botwey drew inspiration from Psalm 100:5, declaring, “The future is one filled with hope and excitement.”
