Pastor Agyemang Elvis, founder and lead pastor of Grace Mountain Ministry in Accra, Ghana, and convener of the global prayer revival Alpha Hour, in a facebook today post shared a thought-provoking message distinguishing between honesty and transparency.
In his message, he emphasized that while honesty involves telling the truth when questioned, transparency entails proactively providing pertinent information to those who matter, thereby fostering trust through evidence-based communication.
Pastor Elvis illustrated his point by comparing two individuals: an honest person who, when asked, says, “I went out with some friends,” and a transparent person who proactively informs relevant parties, “I am out with my friends Peter and Daniel at such-and-such place for this reason. Expect me home at this time.”
He noted that honest people expect to be trusted, whereas transparent people take deliberate steps to earn trust by providing proof of their intentions. He concluded by encouraging individuals to “upgrade your honesty into transparency,” as transparency helps to settle doubts in relationships under any circumstance.
Pastor Agyemang Elvis is renowned for his dynamic ministry, which combines profound teaching and prophetic anointing. His Grace Mountain Ministry, based in Ofankor Achimota, Accra, is dedicated to projecting the love of God through the power of the Spirit, leading to the salvation, revival, healing, and transformation of many souls. In addition to his pastoral duties, Pastor Elvis leads Alpha Hour, a global prayer movement that began on February 8, 2022. Alpha Hour is an intensive one-hour prayer session broadcast live every weekday at 12 am GMT across various platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
The movement has experienced exponential growth, with over 80,000 devices worldwide joining the online prayers, and broadcasts extending to multiple television and radio stations. The initiative was inspired by a vision Pastor Elvis received, prompting him to awaken people to the power of prayer.

He is also an accomplished author, having written several books aimed at deepening believers’ understanding of their faith and authority in Christ.
