The General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Reverend Dr. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, has been appointed as the substantive chairman of the Church Health Commission of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship (WAGF).
This announcement was made in a letter signed by the General Secretary of the Assemblies of God Ghana, Reverend Dr. Ernest Birikorang and copied to the church’s EP officers.
“I am excited to announce to all and sundry that, at the just ended World Assemblies of God Fellowship (WAGF) Executive Meeting, our indefatigable General Superintendent, was appointed as the substantive Chairman of the Church Health Commission,” Reverend Birikorang’s statement read in part.
Reverend Wengam’s elevation was reached after a meeting by the WAGF fellows in Accra.
The Church Health Commission is responsible for promoting church health and ensuring quality growth among Assemblies of God churches globally.
Reverend Wengam’s elevation means he will become a cabinet member of the WAGF.
